Tshirts.com domain name sold for $1.265 million

According to a blog post by Domain Name Wire, Tshirts.com and 4 other domain names (tee-shirts.com, t-shirt.com, t-shirts.com and tees.com) have been sold for $1.265 million.

The sale was brokered by Moniker.com, an Oversee.net company with headquarters in Los Angeles, CA.

The buyer of the domain names has been identified as Costumes Galore Inc., a company located in Mankato, Minnesota. Costumes Galore operates several websites including http://www.costumesgalore.net

Retailing costumes is a big business specially around the Halloween season, however, the rest of the year costume sales aren't as promising, according to GoCostumes.com, which is relaunching it's website.

It makes sense for Costumes Galore to expand into a business which can generate sales throughout the year, such as retailing T-shirts.
