由於常常有剛接觸網域名稱市場的版友會接到一些詐騙電郵，不外乎是要騙你去給你的網名估價，因此在本主題特別將一些版友常會接到的信件內容貼出來。如果以後有類似內容的文件就知道是假的求購信了。

原来是个假的，想骗我的DotTK的帐号和密码！

然後伺機騙取你的帳號密碼
他會用[email protected]這個email加你的MSN
你如果接受的話,在MSN List會看到這樣的狀況

不過他騙密碼的方式蠻爛的
(1)他會先問你想要設定的Moderator的密碼,這就是個破綻!!
如果你跟他說random,他會進行下一個策略

(3)他還會問你銀行帳號之類的...

大家小心別被騙...另外,最近也很多假冒ebay的來信...大家也要小心...它給連結都不是ebay的網址

The same is true for GoDaddy and SEDO. Their services are not manual. They
are just collecting money using their well-known names.

剛看到一封類似的詐騙信，現在甚至在第一封信就會列出他願意出幾千美金的offer，看起來很像真的。沒有經驗的人接到這種信大概都樂昏頭了。

通常會發生在你剛註了某域名放到sedo上去賣，或者其他銷售網站，顯然他們進步到可以搜集這些銷售網站上的資訊。

反正最重要的一句話，只要出現類似「If you have other names for sale please email me your list with prices.」就百分之百是假的。除非他已經和你交易過了或者先前為了某域名交談過多次，才會問你是否還有其他域名給他參考。不然沒有人會在第一次詢價某域名時就說請你報給他其他域名，域名每個價值都不同，又不是成衣批發，可以隨便買的，所以有這句話就是詐騙。
